Heat treatment doesn't mean parts will not meet dimensional tolerances. ECM processes, more specifically gas quenching, enable precise control of parts deformation, with very uniform results, from part to part and from load and load.

ECM has developed a 3-step gas quenching process that homogenizes temperature within the part, before the transformation into martensite. This patented recipe called StepGQ, relying on the possibility to adjust gas quench intensity during the process, is already used by many of our customers.
