With ECM low-pressure carburizing solutions, you eliminate oxidation, as heat treatment is performed under vacuum. This risk associated with traditional atmospheric carburizing is removed.

> Case depth

Low-pressure carburizing enables a very precise control of the case depth, with a 5/100 accuracy. Case depth obtained at the industral scale with our ICBP® range from 0.25 mm on hydraulics valves (at Sun Hydraulics) up to 2 mm on truck axles components (at Renault Véhicules Industriels)

> Uniformity

Results obtained with ECM's low pressure carburizing have proven to be extremely uniform. At the part level, on pinion gears for instance, case depth is uniform on pitch, flank and root. At the load level, consistent results are obtained with one load, but also from load to load leading to substantial productivity gains. Chrysler Group evaluated savings associated with uniformity at 10-15% in their environment.
