ECM History

 

 

  • 1928: ECM, "Etudes et Constructions Mécaniques", originally Ugine Infra, was founded


  • 1964: ECM started the development of vacuum-furnace technology for high steel-grade brazing applications in aeronautics.



  • 1983: Photovoltaic , development of the first furnace (for polycristaline ingot 60 kg) with Photowatt


  • 1990: Vacuum furnace  Hercule 2400°C for  Hermes Aerospace, 2400°c , useful volume 8m3



  • 1997: Contract for 5 furnaces for Photovoltaic silicon ingot of 240 kg for Photowatt


  • 1998: 1st ICBP Horizontal ,vacuum carburizing furnace for mass production of gear boxes, including 20 bar gas quenching device.


  • 1998: Foundation of  ECM USA at Kenosha Wisconsin


  • 1999: Nuclear, furnace for MOX sintering

 

 



  • 2001-2004: Photovoltaic : Contracts of 22 bottom loading furnaces for Deutsch


  • 2008: 65O vacuum carburizing cells producing worldwide, new testing platform
